Deer Creek and ‘Kickoff’ Thank You!

Never ceases to amaze… such an amazing place! So many thanks to the greatest community for the support, the hard labor, the high fives, the hugs, and the crazy good new track on Deer Creek. What a re-route! Another mighty feat by 91 dedicated folks and 1.04 miles of new track has come to life!

Thanks Town of CB, for the fun Town Picnic before our fiesta and a wonderful venue. We are constantly humbled by the support at our Annual Kickoff and Membership shindig, and so many thanks to those who come out to show it. We were so happy to have some of our constituency and membership at our Annual meeting, and grateful for the comments and suggestions. We are incredibly excited to welcome two new board members, Lisa Cramton and Hilary Henry, with Lisa returning back to the Board. We are also grateful for the time and dedication of previous board members, Holly Annala, Janae Pritchett, and Tim Kugler. Tim has moved on to Gunnison Trails, and we’re grateful to have Tim still on board as ex-officio, more grateful to have him at the helm of Gunnison Trails. Thank you Mikey’s Pizza for supplying all the eats – man, that was a lot of pie!

We are grateful for our good friends at the USFS – Gunnison Ranger District for their leadership and partnership.   Mad love for our crew leaders and those spending some serious time out there on Deer Creek – not any easy access. Thanks Al Smith and Camp 4 for the coffee, Smith Optics, Mountain Khakis, Clif Bar, Odell Brewing, Backcountry Bike Academy, the Alpineer, SRAM, and our so many sponsors for the best swag giveaways this side of the Mississippi! Thanks Lars Bickford, Roman Kolodziej and the others who shuttled folks up there. Thanks Dennis Annarelli, Hilary Henry, and Neil Beltchenko for the footage and photos. To the Moonshiner, Bryan Phillips (aka Turd Ferguson) – many thanks for always feeding the masses. The biggest of thanks to the families, the kids, the dogs, the guests, the second home owners, the locals, the friends in neighboring communities, and the flat out shreddy stoke that all bring to make this all happen! We thank thee!

Dave Ochs and the CBMBA Board of Directors.
