Annual Fall Poker Ride

September 12, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Presented by The Law Offices of Michael Vaughn

and Pinnacle Orthopedics

What? It’s a Poker Ride, but you can run, jog, or walk it as well for a chance to play a hand! Complete the course shown on the map below any time between Sept 6 and 12th (course must be completed all at once). If you ride on your own, you’ll need proof that you did the whole thing– a recorded loop on an app, photos from trail signs, dropped pins on Google Maps, your ride partner vouching for you, etc. The CBMBA Crew will be doing this ride on Sunday, September 12 at noon and you’re invited to join us! Starting at 3pm, meet us on the Brick Oven Pizzeria patio. You’ll be dealt your poker hand and have ample time to socialize, eat pizza, drink beer, and discuss how much fun you had this summer. At 5pm, the poker hands will be “played” and prizes will be awarded. The entry fee is $10 for CBMBA members, $40 for non-members (which includes a Steel Level CBMBA Membership).

Prizes to 5 places, cash courtesy of Pinnacle Orthopedics and Vaughn Law

    • 1st – $150
    • 2nd – $100
    • 3rd – $50
    • 4th – “Stay High On the Budd Trail” t-shirt
    • 5th – $10 entry fee refunded (worst hand)

When? Complete the course on your own time between Sept 6th and 12th, but come to the Brick Oven patio starting at 3pm on Sept. 12th for the shindig. Poker hands will be dealt upon arrival, and the poker hands will be played at 5pm with prizes to follow.

Where? The poker course Group Ride departs at 12pm from the 4-way. Starting at 3pm, we will gather at The Brick Oven (223 Elk Ave.)

Why? To raise funds to help propel CBMBA’s mission of building and maintaining shreddy trails!

How? Register online or register with cash on the Brick patio when you arrive for the party. If you’re a current CBMBA Member, click here to register. If you’re not a CBMBA Member, click here to register. Once you show proof that you completed the course, you’ll be dealt a poker hand at the Brick Oven. At 5pm, poker hands will be “played”. You must ride the whole course in the order it’s presented. Riding all 5 trails will get you a ‘poker hand’, but then riding the additional ‘wild card’ loop (Divine & Tony’s) gets you a 6th card – a wild card – to be used in any way in your given hand.

Prizes are awarded to the top 5, with the 5th spot being for the worst hand, who then gets their entry fee (but not membership) refunded. A computer-automated hand will be written down on an index card for each finisher in person. The index card will serve as a means to also get a slice of pizza and prove entry for beer reception.
