What: Always the first Saturday in June, National Trails Day is aimed at advocacy and trail service. Thousands of hikers, bikers, trail clubs, and local nonprofits come together across the US to advocate for, maintain, and clean up their local public lands and trails. Join us for a day of digging, teamwork, and of course, free beer!
Where: Middle Cement Creek Trail, phase 3. Park at campsite CC5, which is 6 miles up Cement Creek Road #740. Parking is very limited, so please carpool or consider parking above or below the meeting spot and pedaling over if possible.
Details: This family friendly event does not require prior experience—we’ll show you what to do—just show up at 10am, bring your own lunch to eat on the trail, and then stick around for a BBQ and Ska beer at 3pm. The trail requires some hiking to get to, so be prepared to walk up to your work section.
What To Bring: Long pants, work gloves, hiking boots or work boots, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, lots of water, lunch or snacks.
