3/21 – From your observations! Thank you, Robbie! Rode to Lily using the Ohio Pass access and then down Splains. Sno Trackers groomed last night and the surface up to the Irwin turn was good but not as good as a few days ago because they did not groom out to the edge as they usually do. There was a little more rolling resistance but still very easy pedaling and the surface improved heading up Ohio Pass and was fine up the steep trail to Lily, improving  as we went up. Gorgeous section of trail to get to Lily, very atmospheric, when I could breathe. The ride around Lily was excellent and going down Splains was a blast. It was much colder on Kebler/Lily and not soft at all. No punching through, all a hard base.

A super ride for the adventurous, only a little skill required, brains and common sense definite handicaps.

Helpful hint – ride before noon to avoid the wind that always blows down from Kebler Pass. Fun ride back down with the wind at my back.

Be sure to check with the CBAC about avalanche conditions! Proceed with caution. Be safe out there!

3/16 – Still buried with snow. We’re digging ourselves slowly to get there! North Village and Teddy’s are good to go.

3/21 – CEMENT CREEK IS BACK! Al Smith, CBMBA, and Sno Trackers worked together to get a snow cat in there and cut the road back into Deadman’s. GO ENJOY!

If you go out there, check the CBAC Avalanche Conditions before you go, and proceed with caution. Be safe!

Thanks to grooming fanatic from Camp 4 Coffee, Al Smith, for all his efforts to keep Cement Creek in good shape!

3/16 – Jack’s is in and firm. The Notch is user compacted and firmed. V-drop is groomed and firm. Everything else is just user compacted or soft. Keep us posted with observations if you have them.

Compacted/NOT groomed

3/16 – Still buried in fresh snow.

Some of these trails are groomed by CBMBA or Gunnison Trails specifically for fat biking. Some are groomed by other organizations, like CB Nordic or Gunnison Sno-Trackers, but you can still fat bike on them. Others are just user compacted.
