Trail Report

CLOSED for Season

7/18/18 – Baxter’s is through to Carbon Creek Trail #436! Make all kinds of loops with it or ride it out and back–it’s good either way!

10/16/18 – You could get adventurous and try to out-and-back part of this trail, but we’re pretty sure you’re going to hit snow before the first creek crossing and it’ll be snowy from there on up. If you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!

10/16/18 –  We’re thinking skip this and stay low on the Upper Loop. Too many trees in there trapping too much moisture. But if you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!

11/6/18 – Only good if you’re fat-biking!

5/15/18 – JAH LIVES!  Stay High on the Budd Trail!!!

10/16/18 – Snowy and muddy. Hit us up if you have an observation, though! Things melt out quickly, sometimes, this time of year, though this trail tends to sit in trees and shadow.

11/6/18 – Only good if you’re fat-biking!

Bike Park OPEN!  EVOLution Bike Park.

CBMR is opening in 2018 on June 9th!

10/16/18 – Snowy and wet. Hit us up if you have an observation, though! Lifts are closed, but you might be able to pedal up for a lap on the front side if it gets enough snow.

11/6/18 – Only good if you’re fat-biking!

Reminder – Elkton (the old mining town/area right there at the base of 403 is private property.  Please stay on the trail, don’t trespass, don’t damage or markup historic artifacts, and don’t remove anything from the old mines and properties.  The future of this trail access depends on it.

10/16/18 –  Super done.

11/6/18 – Full.Of.Snow.

CLOSED for Season

8/5/18 – CLOSED

Annual closure. No Bikes. No hikers. No runners. No unicycles.  Bottom line – please respect the closure. You can indeed ride Teddy’s trail and stay to the North/East of the actual closure, but please heed the signs. We treasure our partnerships and trail access with the ranching community. Doing the right thing helps us maintain those opportunities.

6/18/18 – And it’s ON! Snow plug still in at Emerald, hike over.  Be nice to 401, she’s a delicate flower!  At that, please park and ride from the proper trailheads.  Traffic and congestion up on Schofield Road and Pass are so very impactful and unpleasant.  It’s a sweet bike up, and one to revel in the views and the respect that needs to be shown to the sensitive enviro it is. Thanks for looking out for the image of bikers and mtn biking – it goes a LONG way!

10/16/18 –  Super done.

11/6/18 – Seriously. Full.Of.Snow.

6/25/18 –  Good to Go

10/16/18 – You could get adventurous and try to out-and-back on Brush Creek Road until you hit snow, but you’re going to hit snow pretty soon on the road. The actual single track of 400 is snowed in for the season, we’re guessing. If you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!

11/6/18 – Only good if you’re fat-biking! No, really. Don’t go ride 400. It’s full of snow.

11/6/18 – Full. Of. Snow.

5/28/18 – Still some mud… always some mud. Be good out there!

10/16/18 – North facing, in the trees? Gotta be snowed in. If you go exploring, hit us up with an observation, but we’re pretty darn sure this is done for the season.

11/6/18 – Full of snow.

6/4/18 – Good to go- not all of Doubletop is yet… but can connect from Brush to Cement on B&T! Doubletop up to Hunter Creek is holding a lot of snow, but Hunter Creek is riding as out and back as well from Cement.

7/18/18 – CBCC has been doing a ton of work out there, so it’s riding great!

10/16/18 – Full of snow. We’re guessing this is done for the season.

11/6/18 – Really, really done.

5/5/18 – Good to go… to Strand Bonus/Strand exit.  Some snow north of that in the dark timber, so it’s not connecting to Brush Creek Road/Death Pass yet.

10/22/18 – Ridin’!

5/22/18 – CBCC cut out 21 trees – she’s a riding hero!!!

11/6/18 – Full of snow.

5/5/18 – Get some Rubber on it!  Needs bike tires to pack in the winter duff!  Riding great, work done 2 years ago at National Trails Day is holding up nicely, trail is draining where there is spring run off.

10/22/18 – Ridin’!  Not Strand Hill, but Strand Bonus and the Canal are riding.

11/6/18 – Only good if you’re fat-biking!

5/12/18 – It’s on!

10/26/18 – It’s still wet. Maybe Sunday, but riding it now will just do damage.  It’s not holding snow, but it is holding water and sloppy.

5/20/18 – Get some rubber on that new re-route!  Still a large blowdown towards the Middle Brush Creek, we’ll get that asap, and the creek crossing is knee high – all good.

10/16/18 – Pretty sure this is socked in. If you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!

11/6/18 – Full of snow.

6/4/18 – GtG!

10/16/18 – We’re pretty sure all the Reno-Flag-Bear-Deadmans stuff has got to be done for the season, but if you go exploring, hit us up with an observation!

6/4/18 – Good to go- not all of Doubletop is yet… but can connect from Brush to Cement on B&T! Doubletop up to Hunter Creek is holding a lot of snow, but Hunter Creek is riding as out and back as well from Cement.

7/18/18 – It’s July! It’s hot! You can ride everywhere. Get you some.

10/16/18 – DONE-SO! Snow up high and cold temps means Crystal Peak is off the table. Unless you’re skiing.

5/4/18 – Cut out by the GOATs!  Good to go!

10/16/18 – We’re pretty sure all the Reno-Flag-Bear-Deadmans stuff has got to be done for the season, but if you go exploring, hit us up with an observation!

11/6/18 – Full.Of.Snow.

5/5/18 – Jacks, Roaring Judy (Powder Cache Rd), then Eccher… ready for rubber.  Roaring Judy from Cement Mtn Trail… no bueno!

10/22/18 – It’s riding!  Loop it with Roaring Judy, but any higher and you’ll run into snow/mud. And take Powder Cache Rd… the Roaring Judy Road climb is holding snow, but the trail is not.

4/25/18 – Caves LOOP is riding!  (Caves, Walrod Cutoff #418, Lower Cement Creek Trail)

10/16/18 –  Maybe? Probably some mud and snow patches, but we’re thinking rideable. Especially if you go early in the day when it’s still frozen. If you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!

11/6/18 – Only good if you’re fat-biking? Probably pretty dang snowy.

5/12/18 – A little bit of snow up top, but good as an out and back!

10/16/18 – It’s cold, snowy, and muddy right now, but if we get enough warm days there’s a chance most of 409 will be rideable. Definitely if you ride up from CB South and just out-and-back once you hit snow. Or try riding early when it’s all frozen. If you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!

10/16/18 – We’re pretty sure all the Reno-Flag-Bear-Deadmans stuff has got to be done for the season, but if you go exploring, hit us up with an observation!

11/6/18 – Full of snow.

5/18/18 – RIDING!  Enjoy!

10/16/18 – We’re guessing cold and closed. If you’ve been out there, hit us up with an observation!
