Lake Irwin Trail – ‘INforcement Trail’

Built in August 2025, this trail is a continuation of CBMBA’s ‘Riders Off the Road’ plan and the third installed from the North Valley Trails Project decision.  It starts at the Irwin ‘Y’ and stays parallel to the main Lake Irwin Road, but gets you into some beautiful meadows and dark timber forest to finish up at the Lake and not deal with the increased traffic and dusty roads. The hardest of the climbing is at the bottom (Y) end of the trail, but it’s rather minimal and it’s meant to be an easy climb and ride for all.  It goes both ways, and makes for great out and backs, or of course, the best way to access the Dyke Trail and Dyke Trail loop.  You can also take the Wagon Trail back up from the Dyke and turn left on the road, to meet this new trail about halfway if start/finishing at the Lake.
