The first Borealis Fat Bike World Championships was in 2015, and each year brings another element of racing with a good dose of wackiness! Yeah, it is a race and serious athletes compete for the title of World Champion. Plenty of people, however, show up in costumes, shoot whiskey, and eat bacon on course. It’s for all types of riders, from the competitive racer to the first timer, with categories and distances for each. More than anything, Fat Bike Worlds is about riding fatties and chilling in the snow with a group of awesome people! Oh yes, and it's for a good cause, too. The proceeds of the race go to Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association! Check it out.
