Climb: Yeah there's some
Descend: all you climbed!
Status: User compacted
Trail Type: Packed road via users (snowmo, skier, snowshoe, fat bike, etc)
Washington Gulch Road is a multi-use, user compacted area. Conditions will vary depending on recent snowfall.
Much like Slate River Road, Washington Gulch sees regular recreational use in snowmobiles, skiers, snowshoers, walkers, dogs, etc. The trailhead is 2.5 miles up the road. Its ‘rolling up’ grade is fun for 2.5 miles and then the road kicks up a bit and soon gets into high country, avalanche terrain, and some steeps. It can be ride-able and safe under the right conditions, but a loop to connect to Gothic is pretty rare given the extreme conditions. Beginner to Expert
